Scrase Law Employment Solicitors

Celebrating 10 years of success

Scrase Employment Solicitors is 10! Many thanks to all of our clients and contacts who have helped to make the firm such a success.

In February 2008 I set up Scrase Employment Solicitors from a room at home. My vision was to create a niche employment law practice, providing top level service to employer clients. In 2008 it was quite rare to set up a niche firm serving corporate clients. However, my hunch was that as long as we had the basics in place (good broadband and mobile connections), clients would be happy to use us. My hunch was right and within a year we had moved out to our own offices.

Throughout the 10 years, I have kept our focus on advising employers to do the right thing in the first place. The backbone of the business remains our retainer service, mainly to clients in the manufacturing and engineering sectors. The vast majority of the clients who joined us in the first year renew year after year and are still with us all those years later.  Besides employers, our other key clients have remained executives who need good, strong advice on getting the best deal when leaving their employment.

Scrase Employment Solicitors is different both to the large law firms and also the non-regulated providers of employment/HR advice. I am indebted to all the work that Martin Augustus put into helping build the business over the years before he left to join a local university in 2016. I thought it would be very difficult to replace Martin but was delighted when Alexandra Robinson agreed to join the firm just over a year ago. Alex has fitted in very well with the ethos of the firm, giving professional advice in a relaxed and personal style with a great sense of humour.

I am also delighted to announce that Sally Rogers will shortly be joining the firm, as an additional member of the team. Sally is an experienced employment lawyer who previously worked for 18 years at one of Bristol’s top commercial law firms. I am sure that Sally will help to build on our reputation as a specialist employment law firm which gives practical advice to employers.

We are always looking to build long term business partnerships with HR departments for the benefit of their businesses. If you are an HR manager who feels your present employment law advisers are not practical enough and do not go the extra mile for you, please get in touch.
